Niber Technologies Launches NUSPUN® for Enhanced Performance Apparel

Niber Technologies has unveiled NUSPUN®, a next-generation ingredient brand of laminates specifically designed for the functional apparel sector. Utilizing the company's electrospun nanofiber technology, NUSPUN® aims to create a new category of Active Comfort that combines breathability with weather protection.

Traditionally, weather protection in performance textiles has compromised comfort, particularly with PFAS materials. As regulations tighten around PFAS, brands are seeking alternatives that do not sacrifice either water resistance or breathability. NUSPUN® laminates address this challenge by allowing moisture to escape while keeping water out.

The NUSPUN® laminates are produced using a proprietary electrospinning platform, which enables precise control over the material's performance characteristics. This process allows for the development of laminates with varying levels of breathability, water protection, and windproofness, tailored to specific brand needs.

Niber Technologies has launched three performance platforms under the NUSPUN® brand: Arcus, Ventus, and Stratos. Each platform is designed for different activities, providing options for extreme weather protection, active outdoor pursuits, and high-intensity sports.

The NUSPUN® collection will be available to select brand partners starting in Q4 2026, with the first products expected to debut in Fall/Winter 2027 collections.
