Heimtextil is expecting around 2,900 exhibitors at its next edition in Frankfurt from January 12-15, 2027, maintaining its previous year’s level despite continuing uncertainty across international home and interior textile markets.

The organiser, Messe Frankfurt, notes that consumer spending pressures, demands for product durability, and global supply chain disruptions are influencing purchasing decisions across the sector.

To address these challenges, the exhibition will emphasize material performance, product quality, and reliable international sourcing, alongside new initiatives for 2027. One such initiative is the Functional Futures Lab, developed in partnership with Future Fabrics Expo, which will explore innovative materials and design solutions for commercial interiors.

Additionally, Heimtextil will introduce a new premium segment, Carpets & Rugs Excellence, featuring international manufacturers selected based on product quality and craftsmanship. The exhibition will also showcase design trends focusing on functionality and the tactile qualities of interior textiles.

Heimtextil 2027 will encompass the entire home and contract textile supply chain, from fibres and yarns to finished fabrics, carpets, and interior furnishing products.
