Archroma Continues as Exclusive Distributor for ZELAN™ DWR Products

Archroma and Nicca Chemical are joining forces to enhance the growth of ZELAN™ non-fluorinated durable water repellents (DWRs) globally. This partnership follows Nicca's acquisition of the ZELAN™ business from The Chemours Company in March 2026.

Archroma has been the global distributor and technical support partner for ZELAN™ since the launch of Teflon EcoElite™ with ZELAN™ R3 in 2015. Under the new agreement, Archroma will maintain its role as the exclusive distributor of ZELAN™ DWR products and Teflon EcoElite™ technology.

The ZELAN™ R3 product is notable for being the industry's first renewably sourced DWR, made with 63% plant-based materials. It is recognized for its water repellency, durability, and breathability across various fiber types.

Archroma will continue to provide marketing initiatives and technical support to textile mills and brands, ensuring a seamless transition for customers. The ZELAN™ technology is crucial for brands seeking compliance with industry standards while delivering effective rain and stain protection.
