Lonati Introduces Connected Approach to Medical Compression Hosiery Manufacturing
At a recent event in Germany, Lonati showcased its innovative digital solutions for medical compression hosiery production, emphasizing efficiency and precision.

Italian knitting machinery manufacturer Lonati presented a connected approach to medical compression hosiery manufacturing during The Loop – Chapter One: Medical Textiles event in Albstadt, Germany, on October 7-8, 2026.
The company highlighted its integrated programming environment, Orion, along with Dinema’s Arcadia production management platform and the DSC EVO measurement system. These technologies aim to streamline the manufacturing process by addressing challenges such as product complexity and rising costs.

Orion enables developers to work with a digital representation of knitted articles, allowing for direct modifications to machine programming and design. This digital sampling is expected to shorten development cycles and enhance collaboration between manufacturers and brands.

Additionally, Lonati introduced Orion Predictive, an AI-assisted system designed to optimize knitting machine settings based on design parameters, potentially reducing the need for physical samples. The DSC EVO measurement system offers high accuracy and integrates with existing software to enhance production quality control.
Overall, Lonati's approach aims to create a continuous feedback loop between design, production, and measurement, improving efficiency and product consistency in medical compression hosiery manufacturing.
