Innovative Textile Companies Shortlisted for Blue Earth Investment
Ten companies focused on new textile fibers, recycling technologies, and bio-based materials have been shortlisted for investment in the 2026 Blue Earth competition.

Ten companies developing innovative textile solutions have been shortlisted for the 2026 Blue Earth competition, aimed at promoting sustainable practices in the textile industry. These finalists were selected from 1,414 applicants worldwide and represent the Fashion & Materials category of the BE100 programme.
The shortlisted companies were invited to pitch at the Blue Earth Summit in London, where at least one company from each category will receive a minimum investment of £100,000, pending due diligence. The finalists address various stages of the textile and apparel value chain, from raw material production to recycling.

Among the finalists is Finland’s Spinnova, which converts wood pulp into textile fibers without dissolving the material. Other notable companies include Colorifix, which uses biotechnology for textile coloration, and Re&Up, focusing on fiber recovery from textile waste.
The diversity of approaches among the finalists highlights efforts to reduce reliance on virgin resources and extend product lifetimes in the fashion and materials industries. The BE100 finalists were evaluated based on commercial viability, innovation, environmental impact, and competitive advantage.
The second investment fund of the BE100 programme, managed in partnership with Haatch, aims to raise £10 million and intends to invest in at least ten businesses this year, an increase from three in 2025.
