Georg Stausberg Appointed CEO of Rieter Group
Georg Stausberg has been appointed as the new CEO of Rieter Group following the withdrawal of Daniel Lippuner due to a dispute over compensation. Stausberg brings over 30 years of experience in the textile machinery industry.

Georg Stausberg has been appointed CEO of the Rieter Group effective immediately, following a dispute regarding remuneration that led to the withdrawal of the previously designated chief executive, Daniel Lippuner.
On November 4th, Rieter announced that Lippuner's additional demands concerning his compensation package, particularly regarding bonuses, resulted in irreconcilable differences.

Stausberg, who was previously the CEO of Barmag, has extensive experience in the international textile machinery sector, having held senior management roles at Barmag, a leading supplier of machinery for man-made fibre production.
His leadership at Barmag significantly strengthened the company's position in the global synthetic fibre machinery market. Following Rieter's acquisition of Barmag in February 2026, Stausberg became part of Rieter's executive committee, enhancing his involvement in the organization.
With Stausberg at the helm, Rieter aims to integrate Barmag into its operations and bolster its position in the global textile machinery market.
