Bentley Recognized as CARE 2025 Recycler of the Year

Bentley has been named the 2025 Recycler of the Year by the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) for its efforts in integrating Post-Consumer Calcium Carbonate (PC4) into its manufacturing process.

This initiative supports the circular economy by providing a sustainable end use for reclaimed carpet materials, allowing old carpets to be repurposed effectively.

Despite the benefits, using PC4 presents challenges due to potential contaminants like residual carpet fibers and latex. These impurities can lead to manufacturing issues such as clogged equipment and inconsistent material flow.

To address these challenges, Bentley's team collaborated closely with suppliers to eliminate contaminants and implemented additional filtering equipment in their manufacturing process, ensuring that the recycled content meets their performance standards.
