Andritz to Supply PTFE Filter Line to Shandong Huazhe in China

Shandong Huazhe has placed an order with Andritz for a high-speed needlepunch line aimed at producing advanced filtration materials. This line will be installed at the company's headquarters in Jinan, Shandong Province, China.

This order continues the collaboration between Shandong Huazhe and Andritz, which began in 2023 with a contract for a batt forming line that was successfully delivered in 2024.

The new line will increase Shandong Huazhe's capacity for high-performance filtration materials made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibres, responding to the rising market demand. It is designed for high-speed, stable operation while ensuring gentle handling of fibres to maintain product quality.

Notably, the line will introduce the A-Type needleloom, a new technology from Andritz that promises cost-efficient operation and production flexibility. This will be the first PTFE filtration material production line supplied by Andritz.

Shandong Huazhe's CEO, Han Fuhe, expressed confidence in the new equipment, citing the need for reliable machinery and gentle processing in the production of advanced filtration materials.
